Porcelynne Co-Op Grand Re-Opening
Join the Porcelynne Designer Collective this Saturday, September 22 at Porcelynne, 487 14th Street @ Guerrero, San Francisco, to celebrate our newly formed Co Op! After a year and a half in business as Porcelynne Boutique and Gallery, owner/lingerie designer Jennifer Lynne transforms her boutique into a designer cooperative. Eleven Bay Area designers are directly involved in the boutique, and with offerings ranging from jewelry to menswear, the boutique now covers the whole spectrum. Metalsmith Shana Astrachan was the first to join forces with Porcelynne. Her line ranges from fun sequin accessories to hand forged fine silver. The original team of Shana and Jennifer interviewed dozens of independent designers to find the perfect fit for the boutique. Adjowah Brodie of The Weekend Store, Anne Cramer of Anicka and Colleen Mauer round out the jewelry designers, and with their wide range of styles, prices and mediums, there is something for everyone. Designers Yugala Priti and Estrella Tadeo, formerly of the boutique 3 Threads, joined Porcelynne as two of the clothing designers. Erin Mahoney's tango dresses are also a must have addition to the group. Newcomer Giovanni Adame, designer of Architect G, creates unique and one of a kind mens hoodies and loungewear. Helene Poulshock, Culture Consumer, creates small runs of screen printed designs on not your ordinary tees. Rounding out the boutique collection, designer Chloe Kay brings in her stylish handbags in leather and wool. As well as the 11 participating designers, Porcelynne also carries the lines of Distilled Spirits, eVarize, Donna Lou and Amy Cools. There is always something new in house, so stop by often to see what's new - we all take turns working in the shop, so you can meet your favorite designers as well!

Happy 2007! Whoo-hoo!
I am sooo thrilled that this new year has finally arrived....not to mention that I have a phobia of even-numbered years. Bye bye, 2006! (it was a good one regardless). I am thrilled to announce that Colleen Mauer Designs is now a full-time gig for me. I quit my other job (oops) and am ready to go full-throttle with my business. It's truly thanks to your constant support and steady business that I have reached this point in my career. I will gracefully accept your continuous pats on the back and "go get 'em, tiger" remarks whenever possible. Oh yeah, sales are appreciated as well;) With that said, please return to this site for my most current work, news and events. I will be doing a bunch of new shows this year and will be found in a handful of Bay Area boutiques as of February. I wish you all a very happy and healthy new year. Let me know if I can be of any assistance enhancing your jewelry collection. (wink). xoxoxo, Colleen

Holiday Gift Bash, Part Deux
So, it's that time of year again. The temperature has dropped drastically. There seems to be a little extra food in the fridge....next to that gallon container of egg nog. The fire is crackling as we realize that we are into season of indulgement! It's hard to believe that the holidays are just around the corner. Well, it's just about that time to host another little CRAFTY holiday celebration, a little gifting soiree hosted by the lai-dai's. Please join us gals, Hilary, Nellie, Marisa and Colleen and stop on by to do a little holiday shopping for your friends, your family, your other half, or YOURSELF! And if you prefer to not shop, please just come and drink some damn good California wine. We are gonna set up all of our latest creations (hand pulled woodblock, screen prints and letterpress holiday cards....funky dolls, clothes and handbags from scrap and found matierials......hand crafted jewlery composed of semi-precious stones and fused metals) for your to feast your eyes upon. The wine will be abundant; the company, oh-so-pleasant. It's a good excuse for us all to come together to celebrate this warm and fuzzy time of year. So, bundle up, kids....we'll be waiting under the mistletoe;)
