One of the beautiful things about rose gold is its effortless versatility. In the spirit of mixing metals (one of our very favorite things), we must mention how we love wearing rose gold alongside other finishes. Combined with matte silver, both metals play off one another for a whimsical, romantic vibe.

We’re so proud (and grateful!) for it all: watching our designs come alive; a rockstar staff; an amazing neighborhood filled to the brim with other local creatives—the list goes on.
Fresh off the heels of NY NOW, we are thrilled to introduce a brand new collection to the Colleen Mauer Designs family. Debuted at the east coast show last week, our rose gold pieces received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from trade show buyers and customers alike.
The way a creator arrives at the finish line, final product complete, is a wild, windy road that’s hard to explain. My love and passion for design is instinctive, and part of the reason I adore our showroom on Valencia is because clients shopping CMD collections can also watch us—in action—crafting pieces.
Colleen herself is at the helm of the CMD ship, but many talented hands help keep it humming. The staff at the showroom, in the studio and far beyond are a vital part of the brand, and they’re some of our biggest fans. Frequently on the blog we’ll feature our extraordinary staff and share what CMD jewels they love the most.
At our epic 10th anniversary party last week we debuted our Ring Bar. The accompanying menu provided prices for the different sizes and metals, and our guests were able to mingle while trying on each ring. The ring bar was a huge hit, and we *loved* seeing so many friends and clients create their own unique stacks.
As I reflect on these 10 years of glory, pain, joy, tears, laughter, friendships, and oh-so much more, I must express both my gratitude and my nostalgia. I am overflown with happiness and pride, and though I am just a speck in the universe of creators, I live for this passion (truly, creativity keeps me sane).
We love soaking up the sun coast to coast, and though our New York (via New Jersey) run is sadly coming to a close, CMD can’t wait to get back to The Golden State. Fall in the Bay Area is all about life au soleil—BBQs, music festivals, spectacular sunsets and long walks on the beach, just to name a few.
Certain adventures strike a special cord in our hearts, and my recent trip with my mom throughout Washington State was an experience we will both cherish for the rest of our lives. Though we’re already so close, our epic adventure blew our minds and strengthened our bond even more.
The CMD studio is always buzzing away, and we’re constantly on the hunt for artisanal goodies to assist our work. We relish other American manufacturers and love supporting them, because crafting a beautiful product doesn’t come easy (but is definitely worth it).
CMD is proud to be an equal opportunist business, and we’re ready to give the men in our life some jewelry love. Though our bangles and draped necklaces often end up on ladies, we’ve got some seriously stylish rings stacked upon the fingers of exceptional men. Speaking of stacks: our clients love them!
Much like my time, my heart is divided between two neighborhoods: the sunny mission, where the studio is located; and the beachside outer sunset, where I unwind at home. Both spots in this sweet city encourage artistry and originality, and I have a few neighborhood gems that keep me going with a smile on my face.
