The CMD Shop is my East Coast home base and the place where I design, meet with clients and get to play jewelry with you. Come try on pieces you've been eyeing, build a stack, talk through a Custom or Reconstruction project, or just see what catches your eye.

There’s something different about seeing CMD jewelry in person. You can feel the weight of a ring, compare metals and finishes side by side, see how different proportions look on your hand and try combinations you might never have thought to put together online.
The CMD Shop is meant to feel relaxed and personal. Whether you’re building your first stack, adding something unexpected to one you’ve worn for years or just curious to see what catches your eye, this is a place to try things on, mix things up and figure out what feels like you.
And if you walk in thinking you know exactly what you want and leave loving something completely different? That happens around here all the time.
CMD's story started in San Francisco, where I began designing jewelry in 2005 and slowly built Colleen Mauer Designs from a creative experiment into the business it is today. For years, San Francisco was home to both my life and my work, and it was where I first got to experience how much I loved having a physical space where I could design, meet clients and share the jewelry in person.
In 2020, life brought me back East and CMD relocated to Asbury Park, New Jersey. Today, The CMD Shop is where I design, meet with clients, host Open Hours and take virtual and in-person appointments, and dream up whatever comes next. Asbury Park may be our home base, but CMD stretches well beyond these walls.
Every CMD piece is handcrafted to order by our small production team in Upstate New York. We're an all-women team of four working together from three states, with each of us playing a different part in taking a design from my sketchbook to the finished piece that arrives at your door. You can meet the team here and get a closer look at the people behind the jewelry.
The locations have changed over the years, but the heart of CMD really hasn't. We're still making jewelry slowly and thoughtfully, building relationships with the people who wear it and creating pieces meant to become part of how you live, dress and express yourself. I'm very lucky that this little corner of Asbury Park gets to be the place where so many of those connections begin.
