Refund policy

We want you to absolutely LOVE your new CMD jewelry. Each piece is carefully handcrafted, and we take pride in each and every item.

If you are unhappy with anything you have purchased from Colleen Mauer Designs, you may return or exchange it within 10 days of receipt for a refund (less the restocking fee - see below) or store credit for the full amount.

Please keep in mind the following as you make your return/exchange:

The piece must remain unworn and in the original packaging and show no signs of wear.

If you opt for store credit, it will be issued in the form of CMD Bucks once you are registered for our reward program. You may sign up at any time (including after purchase) and it is free to become a member.

We only accept returns and exchanges for purchases made online from our website, or in person from our Bond Street shop in Asbury Park.

All returns or exchanges for purchases made on Instagram or Facebook are eligible for store credit only.

Products purchased through other CMD retailers must be returned or exchanged to the original retailer and are subject to the retailer’s individual store policy.

To return or exchange an item, you MUST email showroom@colleenmauerdesigns.com first. Please include your order number. From there, we will instruct you on how to make a return/exchange. Please DO NOT mail any unwanted item without contacting us first. We have multiple mailing addresses so we want to assist you in getting it to the correct location. Any packages that are mailed without contacting us first will be charged a $10 fee plus any applicable restocking fees. We appreciate your help with this!

Upon receipt of your return, you will be notified via email. Please allow 3-5 business days for your return to be processed, plus 7-12 business days for your bank to post the refund to your account. Your refund will be credited to the same credit card used to make the original purchase minus the applicable restocking fee (see below). Store credit will be issued in full in the form of CMD Bucks, aka store credit through our rewards program that you may use online or in person at our Asbury Park location.

If you would like to return an order of over $1000 for a refund, you will be charged a 20% restocking fee. Please, no exceptions. If you opt for store credit instead, you will not be charged the restocking fee.  

If you would like to return an order under $1000 for a refund, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please, no exceptions. If you opt for store credit instead, you will not be charged the restocking fee.

Special Occasion pieces cannot be returned or exchanged. Colleen will work with you (send complimentary sizing kit or meet in person) on getting the perfect fit before we purchase the 14k gold materials. We are a very small company and the 14k gold materials are expensive! All Special Occasion pieces are final sale.

All custom pieces are final. Please, no exceptions. Of course, we want you to be happy with your purchase, so please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

If you have purchased a Ring Sizing Kit, we ask that you return your kit within 3 business days. Once we receive the kit, you can use the deposit towards your next purchase. Please understand that we have one sizing kit to share with all of our customers. If you hold onto the kit, another person is patiently waiting. That said, if the kit is returned late, your refund will be issued in store credit, no exceptions.

If you’d like to return a piece of CMD jewelry you received as a gift, you must do so within 10 days of receipt and you must confirm the original purchaser's full name prior to issuing your refund in the form of store credit.

We want you to buy with ease during the holiday season! The following policy applies to any item(s) purchased starting on December 1, 2025. If you are gifting a CMD piece or if you received a CMD piece (purchased from our online store or in-store at The CMD Shop), you may exchange or return it for store credit only by January 15th, 2026. Please note that no item can be refunded once it’s past the 10-day refund window. Please, no exceptions.

CMD can only accept holiday returns for items purchased in the CMD Shop in Asbury Park or the CMD online. Please have the original order # or the name of the person who purchased the item available when you’re ready to return for store credit. If you purchased an item at another retailer, please contact the store where the piece was purchased. We cannot accept returns from other stores. Please, no exceptions.

Happy Hour items are eligible for exchange only, or can be returned for store credit.

All Metal Madness item sales are final. Please, no exceptions.

All international orders are final sale.
