There are some trips that feel like coming home. My annual visit to The Phoenix in Georgetown is exactly that — part pop-up, part reunion, and always a reminder of why I love what I do.
The Phoenix has been a longtime partner and friend to CMD. We’ve been showing up together for years, and every time I walk through their door it feels familiar in the best possible way.
Sam truly feels like family at this point! We usually end the day with dinner, catching up like old friends. That closeness is what these pop-ups are all about: real connection, slow conversation, and the joy of trying things on in person.
If you’ve never been to Georgetown, it’s the perfect backdrop. I love the cobblestones, gardens, and classic architecture. I have deep ties to the DC area as my dad lived nearby when I was little. I spent my summers in Northern Virginia, often going to the Torpedo Factory in the afternoon watching artists work... I remember thinking, “that’s what I want to do.” I also went to Virginia Tech and so many of my college friends settled in the area. Add a big family that’s often nearby, and this weekend has become a beloved, yearly tradition.
I’ll bring The Ring Bar — a hands-on way to try on, mix, and build stacks. We can also chat about bringing your heirlooms back to life. If you’ve been holding onto a piece that needs reworking, or you’re curious about starting a custom project, this pop-up is a great place to start the conversation. Reconstruction work is a big focus for CMD right now, and I love helping pieces evolve into something new and wearable.
Come by to try on rings, build a stack, or just say hi. I’d love to see familiar faces and can’t wait to meet all those new ones.
With love and a stack of rings,
Colleen

There’s a conversation we’ve been having more and more often lately at CMD. It usually starts with someone asking about solid gold. Sometimes it’s because they’re marking something important: an engagement, a milestone birthday, a push present, an anniversary [...]
We’re streamlining the CMD collection to make room for more custom work and new designs, and that means saying goodbye to some beloved earring styles. For a limited time, we’re offering discounts on select pieces that are being discontinued. This is the last chance to own them [...]
I wish more divorced women knew that redesigning and reconstructing their original wedding bands would make them feel like a powerhouse. Lorie is one of my clients who already knows the power of reclaiming her story through jewelry, and this is her reconstruction story! The pieces that carry our histories are rarely [...]
