It's a BLACK + GOLD October

BLACK + GOLD Collection by CMD

Fall is here with crisp mornings and rich jewel-toned leaves. BLACK + GOLD is edgy, modern... and so incredibly perfect for October.

Those who know me know that mixing metals is one of my signature aesthetics. I love GRADIENT, but I wanted something even bolder. While designing the collection, I practically squealed when I first saw the palette of matte black paired with shiny gold. It's a striking combo and a total head-turner. To achieve the look, we purposefully oxidize sterling silver in our studio to create the gorgeously distinctive surface treatment that you see in so many CMD designs.

When I sit down at my workbench — usually with a fresh cup of coffee and a pencil sketch that’s already been lived in a little — I’m thinking about more than just metal and stone. I’m thinking about the way jewelry becomes a part of us. How a single piece can carry a memory, a milestone, or a sense of power that’s uniquely our own. I'm thrilled to [...]
