Sankil & Christopher’s Dream Stacks

Sankil & Christopher’s Custom Dream Wedding Stack Ring Sets | Colleen Mauer Designs

Sankil & Christopher’s Dream Stacks

One of my favorite things about designing ring stacks is seeing how completely different two combinations can become even when they start with the same piece. Sankil and Christopher's wedding stacks are such a good example.

When I first started offering virtual Dream Stack appointments, they signed up and we began playing with combinations built around the Sea Cliff Ring. From there, each stack took on a personality of its own.

Two Wedding Stacks, Two Completely Different Looks

Sankil's stack became all about mixed shapes. We combined different forms in a way that gave the set movement and contrast while still feeling cohesive.

Christopher went in the opposite direction and leaned fully into our signature square shape. The repeated geometry gave his stack a cleaner, more architectural feel, and seeing the two sets together made the differences between them even better.

They share a visual language without matching ring for ring, which is exactly what I love about them.

Wedding Rings Don't Have to Match

I think couples sometimes assume their wedding rings are supposed to be identical or at least very obviously coordinated. They absolutely can be, but they don't have to be.

Sankil and Christopher chose rings that felt connected while still reflecting their individual styles. The Channel & Diamond Square Ring gave both stacks a common starting point, and then we let each one evolve from there.

That's one of my favorite approaches to Special Occasion jewelry. There can be a thread connecting two pieces without either person having to compromise what they actually want to wear.

Building a Stack That Feels Like You

The original Sankil & Christopher Dream Stacks came out of a virtual appointment, and that's still one of my favorite ways to work through a ring combination. We can experiment with widths, shapes, metals and diamonds until everything starts to click.

If you're thinking about wedding bands, an anniversary stack or simply adding something new to rings you already wear, book an appointment with me. We can meet in person in Asbury Park or virtually from wherever you are.

Here’s to matching where it matters and doing your own thing everywhere else,
Colleen
