Join Lisa & Me LIVE for Cozy Hot Chocolate

Did you join my bestie, Lisa and me for our live events in the summer? We've made Lillet Spritzes, Mezcal Margaritas... and tomorrow we're making Cozy Hot Chocolate together LIVE on Instagram at 5pm EST! This is an easy one, and a good excuse to ditch work early on a winter afternoon. I can't wait! Everyone who joins us for the live event will have a chance at winning some CMD Bucks, too!

Here's the recipe for you to follow along with us!

COZY HOT CHOCOLATE

Makes 4 Servings

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Del Maguey Vida Mezcal (Whisk(e)y or Brandy work well too!)

1 serving Hot Chocolate - use your favorite packet or the homemade recipe below!

Whipped cream and cinnamon sticks (optional)

Instructions:

Pour 1 serving of hot chocolate into your favorite mug. Add mezcal, then top with whipped cream and freshly grated cinnamon. Enjoy!

Homemade Hot Chocolate Ingredients:

4 cups milk (preferably whole or 2%, non-dairy if preferred)
¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ cup sugar
½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
¼ tsp vanilla extract
Small pinch of salt

Instructions:

Place milk, cocoa powder and sugar in a small saucepan. Heat over medium/medium-low heat, whisking frequently, until warm (but not boiling). Add Chocolate chips and whisk constantly until the chips melt and distribute evenly into the milk. Whisk in vanilla extract and pinch of salt. Serve immediately.
