CMD is now made in SF *and* NY, and we are thrilled about our bicoastal production. Our longtime production guru, Aryana, who has worked in our SF studio for the better part of five years, has returned to her hometown of Ithaca, New York. As she transitioned during her move, she continued working with CMD from her makeshift jewelry studio in the house she grew up in.  Ary wanted to grow with us, and we love having her as part of the team, so we’ve rented her a studio in Trumansburg (four hours upstate from NYC) where we plan to begin building a small team who will handle much of our east coast wholesale production. The space is the perfect size for us to grow and build….so exciting!!

Since Colleen herself hails from New Jersey, it is so special to extend our production to the east coast. We also love the sweet, familiar small town vibe of Trumansburg and it warms our heart to know Aryana and CMD are contributing to this lovely community. Are you familiar with the Ithaca area? We’d love to hear about your favorite local spots in the comments below.

Unplugged: CMD Summer Break!

August 24, 2023

At the start of 2023, I made a pact with myself to find a better way to unplug this year. Not just for me, but for the whole CMD team. Being such a small company and team (there’s only five of us!), one person being out can add pressure to the already heavy workload. I'll be [...]
