The Sweet Pea Bracelet: Make It Yours

There is something I love about jewelry that doesn't tell everyone else exactly what it means. Sometimes a single letter is enough. Other times, it's a name, a few initials or one little word that holds an entire relationship inside it.

That's the idea behind the Sweet Pea Bracelet, a 6mm wide sterling silver cuff or bangle with a hand-carved channel that can be stamped with letters or numbers of your choosing. The design itself is clean and substantial, but what goes inside that little channel is completely yours.

One Little Detail Can Hold a Lot

Your letters might be your own initials, but they certainly don't have to be. They could belong to your partner, your kids, your best friend or someone you want to carry with you. You could choose a short word, a meaningful number or something only you fully understand.

We've made Sweet Peas with single initials and combinations like MOMMY, MA and TIA, and I love how differently each one reads. The bracelet itself stays distinctly CMD, while those few tiny marks turn it into something deeply personal.

That's my favorite kind of personalized jewelry. It doesn't need to explain itself to everyone else. You get to know why those letters are there.

Hand-Stamped Means No Two Are Exactly Alike

Each Sweet Pea is stamped by hand, which means the finished markings won't look machine-perfect or completely identical from one bracelet to another. That's part of what makes these pieces feel human.

The letters sit inside a hand-carved channel, and that channel changes depending on how many characters you choose. A single initial feels spare and graphic. A few letters create something more personal. Either way, the customization becomes part of the design itself rather than something added on afterward.

How the Sweet Pea Became Part of CMD

The Sweet Pea actually began as a limited-edition design in 2023. I first introduced it during one of our Happy Hour events without knowing whether it would stick around. The response made that decision pretty easy.

People connected with the combination of a substantial CMD bracelet and such a small, personal detail, so Sweet Pea earned a permanent place in the collection. Since then, we've expanded the ways you can customize it, giving you more room to make the piece mean whatever you want it to mean. I love when a design continues evolving after it leaves my sketchbook and becomes part of your lives.

Made for Your People, Your Memories or Just You

A mother's name, a child's initials, a nickname, an anniversary, a word shared between two people or simply your own initial. There are a lot of ways a few characters can hold more meaning than you'd expect.

The Sweet Pea Bracelet is available as either a cuff or bangle and handmade to order in sterling silver in our Upstate New York production studio. Wear it on its own or work it into a larger bracelet stack with different metals, widths and finishes.
