As the days grow warmer, longer, and as I’m packing for my cross-country trip, I find myself thinking a lot about the process of curating a concise summer wardrobe. For me, it’s not about following trends but more so about creating a collection that reflects my personal style. I gravitate towards sustainably made clothing crafted from high-quality materials. I want to own pieces that are not only timeless but also versatile enough to be styled in multiple ways. I also love to mix in some wild prints and good vintage along the way.
When one of my favorite white pieces starts to discolor, I like to dye (or tie dye) it to get another season of wear. I picked up this tip from Merle Works, who offers classes on tie dying! If you like to DIY, I highly recommend taking a class. It’s the perfect way to minimize waste, give new life to favorite pieces, and maximize your creativity.
Of course, one of the essential elements that ties my summer looks together is the jewelry. I may be biased, but I love how the CMD aesthetic so often strikes the perfect balance between elegance and modernity. Whether I’m boogeying on the boardwalk or hanging at a summer barbeque, CMD jewelry adds a touch of sophistication to all my outfits. I love to stack up some rings and bangles, throw on a delicate necklace, and of course…some statement earrings. All our pieces are designed to be mixed and matched.
For my upcoming trip, I’m focusing on curating a wardrobe that not only looks good but also feels good to wear (I’ll be driving over 6000 miles!). I’m packing pieces that can be styled in multiple ways and PLENTY of CMD jewelry to elevate and change up my look. With sustainable fashion choices at the forefront, I’m confident that my summer style will be both timeless and eco-conscious.
