The new shiny sparkler above is the latest piece to join CMD’s shelves. I am beyond thrilled to introduce the familia necklace, a customizable design inspired by the one thing that means the most to me: family. Originally designed for a friend, I created each circle to represent her four children. After creating this piece for her I fell in love with the symbolism of these intersected circles, and I began to reflect on what my family means to me.

My family comes in many sizes and shapes, many colors and languages. In fact, it’s not one family at all. From my large Irish family that I grew up with on the East Coast to my small, unconventional friends-turned-family here in the West, family simply means love. It means unbreakable connections with special people with whom you’ve so fortunately fallen into place. They can be born beside you or you may meet them as an adult. They can look exactly like you, have similar styles, love the same foods – or absolutely none of these things. So without further ado, I present the familia necklace. Each circle is a different shape, a different size, a different metal (either gold or silver, and you select the chain color). Customize your necklace and choose from 2-6 rings for each member of your familia. And if you’ve got a big ‘ol group you’d like to represent just shoot us a message!

CMD has all kinds of newness launching in the coming weeks – stay tuned for photos! We can’t wait to share them with all of you.

Unplugged: CMD Summer Break!

At the start of 2023, I made a pact with myself to find a better way to unplug this year. Not just for me, but for the whole CMD team. Being such a small company and team (there’s only five of us!), one person being out can add pressure to the already heavy workload. I'll be [...]
