The studio lights are back on, the torches are lit, and there’s that familiar hum of the tapping hammers and polishing wheels in the air again. After a much-needed winter break, The CMD Team is officially back in the studio — bodies rested, batteries recharged, and ready to charge into a brand new, baby soft year.

All Ready-to-ship orders placed over the break will all ship this week! If you’ve been waiting on a made-to-order piece, I’m happy to report that production officially resumed this week. Orders are flowing, benches are busy, and it feels so good to be back at it. If there’s a little lull, know that everything will ship soon and we truly appreciate your patience. We never rush our work as quality and care is always top of mind.

A Fresh Year, With So Much Ahead

January always feels like a quiet reset — a moment to settle back into rhythm, revisit intention, and slowly build momentum. While we’re easing back in, I can promise you this: we have a lot up our sleeves for the year ahead. New designs, thoughtful updates, creative experiments, and some long-dreamed-about ideas that are finally ready to take shape.

Stay tuned for some very exciting travel plans that will bring CMD cross country for a couple months (more on that soon!) 

For now, I’m simply grateful to be back at the bench, doing what I love, and starting another year alongside this incredible community.
