Meet Our Hand Project Model, Roshane

Meet Our Hand Project Model, Roshane

Meet Roshane Karunaratne aka The General. Born in Staten Island, this super musically talented man can be found cruising around Asbury on his skateboard, long hair blowing in the wind. I’ve always been so fascinated by musicians… especially when they can play ALL the instruments. When I found out Roshane played piano, I knew we had to snap a few photos of him banging on the keys. This guy can pick up a guitar, bass and drums like it ain’t no thang. If you invite him to a party, he’s been known to hijack the music.

“Ro” can be found daydreaming about playing music at The Seven Wonders of the World or flying a plane. He also loves trail biking, chess, kayaking and making animations. Ro and his buddy Andrew make up the band, Mister Tickle Hands. They say they "like to make funky dance music and love to make people dance” with their psychedelic dance music.

When asked about the jewelry, Roshane said that he loves the CMD jewelry and that “it’s a very unique style that I’ve never seen before.” Next time you see Roshane at one of his shows, don’t be surprised if he’s rocking our square rings. The jewelry sure does look good on you, General!

The kind of couple that instantly makes you smile. They are deeply connected, effortlessly funny, incredibly cool without [...]

The Colleen Pinky Stack started because people wouldn't stop asking me the same question: "What's that?" (pointing to my pinky set). Originally part of my own everyday stack, the design became such a customer favorite that we turned it into a permanent member of the CMD fam. And it's been one of our best [...]

Since the beginning of this year, clients from coast to coast have been mailing, carrying and carefully placing deeply personal jewelry into my hands. Old engagement rings. Broken chains. Inherited heirlooms. Pieces tied to marriages, grandparents, milestones, grief, growth and entirely different [...]
