Meet Hand Project Model, Savannah

Meet Hand Project Model, Savannah

Meet Savannah Rose Cheavers, aka Original Savannah. As I sit here to write about this stunningly beautiful human, I feel a permagrin come over my face. When I first met her at my design studio, she walked in with this big smile and authentic energy about her.

Savannah was born and raised in Jersey. This small town gal has big dreams of giving independent artists a platform to showcase their art and of working in the fashion world. In her free time, Savannah is obsessed with everything fashion related – from watching new trends, making mood boards, and styling fresh looks. During the pandemic, Savannah memorized all the lyrics to Alexander Hamilton, just for the fun of it. She and her fiance are excited to travel to Panama for their honeymoon and also daydream about traveling to the south of France.

Savannah says she comes to Asbury Park to get inspired. She loves the juxtaposition of artistry and beach town, whereas normally you’d have to travel to urban places to experience the creativity that Asbury has to offer. It’s the perfect meshing of with peacefulness and tranquility of the beach. Savannah says, “I’m figuring it out, I don’t have it all together…I’m trying to make my way in the world and trying to make my dreams into reality but still not having a straight and narrow path to that.”

Savannah, like me, loves connecting all kinds of different folks - she loves learning about each person’s unique story. When asked about the CMD jewelry, Savannah said, ” I love that the pieces are so beautiful but they still have this edge to them. When I’m wearing a stack, I feel tough - I’m not just some dainty, fragile thing. I’m strong, but still beautiful.” It was such a pleasure to work with this incredible woman…I hope to collaborate with you again soon @originalsavannah

Honoring the Many Forms of Mothering

As Mother’s Day approaches, I find myself thinking less about picture-perfect bouquets or greeting card clichés — and more about the deeper, quieter forces that shape and support us. Because the truth is, “mothering” can take many different forms. It might look like a biological mom, yes. But it also looks like the friend who always picks up the phone [...]
