The idea behind Kith & Kin began during a period of change. My team and I were navigating plenty of it together, and I found myself thinking a lot about what holds us together when life shifts beneath our feet. We leaned on one another, got resourceful, kept creating and were reminded of something I think most of us learn again and again throughout our lives:
It takes a village.
That became the heart of the Kith & Kin Collection. This collection goes out to all the people who show up and the ones who stay steady. The ones who listen, guide, make space and remind us of our own brilliance when we lose sight of our direction. It's a love letter to the family we're born into, the family we choose and the people who have a way of linking us back to ourselves.
The six designs are reflections on connection, strength and the invisible bonds that keep us going. Links appear throughout the collection both literally and symbolically, joining different metals, shapes and forms in ways that feel stronger and more interesting together. Each piece can be worn solo, layered into your existing collection, given to someone important or kept close as a reminder of your own village.
Although Kith & Kin was originally released around Mother's Day in 2025, I never thought of these pieces as being exclusively about mothers. They're for the mentor who changed your direction, the friend who never stopped showing up, the family member who knows you better than anyone and the people you've chosen along the way. They're also for you.
I'm not much of a necklace gal myself, but I've always found myself reaching for the Surface Necklace. Its linked forms and mixed-metal construction became the catalyst for Kith & Kin and gave me a visual language to explore what connection might look like in metal.
That idea grew into six designs, each with its own personality and meaning. Some are delicate, some have more weight and presence, but throughout the collection you'll see pieces connecting to other pieces, metals meeting other metals and individual forms becoming part of something larger.
A soft, sculptural kiss in metal form, the Bésame Ring features an inlaid gold channel that brings warmth and contrast to its beautifully simple shape. I imagined it as a little gesture of love that could be worn as a personal talisman or as a reminder of someone dear.
Three rings come together in this mixed-metal stack, which felt like a natural way to explore the idea of interdependence. Each ring has its own identity, but together they create something stronger, more balanced and more visually interesting. Of course, you can separate them and work them into other stacks, too.
A vertical cascade of interlocking links, the Lore Earrings honor the keepers of stories and the people who pass down wisdom, hold memories and carry meaning across generations. Their movement is part of what makes them so special, allowing each individual link to remain visible while still belonging to the whole.
A gold ring anchored by a silver connector, the Steadfast Earrings are my interpretation of the kind of strength that grounds and supports us. They're lightweight enough for everyday wear but still have that mixed-metal contrast and sculptural quality I love.
The Mainstay Necklace is a tribute to the people we return to again and again: the grounding forces and steady hearts in our lives. The linked forms became a symbol of enduring support and the simple but powerful act of continuing to show up for one another.
Gold links joined by silver connectors give this bracelet its bold, graphic rhythm. I designed it with the bridge-builders in mind, the people who bring others together, spark connection and somehow make everyone around them feel like they belong.
I think one of the reasons this collection still means so much to me is that the idea behind it extends far beyond jewelry. None of us does any of this entirely alone. We're shaped by the people who teach us, challenge us, encourage us, make us laugh, hold us accountable and stand beside us when things don't go according to plan.
Jewelry gives us a physical way to carry some of those relationships with us. It can become a little piece of everyday armor, a talisman or simply an object that reminds you of someone every time you put it on. That's what I hoped to capture in Kith & Kin: not one particular kind of relationship, but the many different ways we belong to one another.
Because in the end, it was never just about jewelry. It's about how we care for each other, and the people who make our lives feel a little more connected along the way.
