If you’ve shopped our Metal Madness Sale, you may have noticed how quickly those One-of-a-Kind (OOAK) pieces have flown off our benches. This year was no different — our OOAK styles are mostly sold out across every category. And honestly? I’m still riding high from all the support we continue to receive. Watching you all snag a few of these special, soulful styles has my team and I feeling extra inspired… This is our way of keeping things a little scrappy. Let me tell you more —
Over the course of 2024, the cost of gold surged approximately 30% and so far in 2025, it’s up another 23%... I’ll let you do the math (good Lordy). It’s enough to either make me go into a ferocious panic or alternatively… to think extra creatively.
To boot, the new tariffs are expected to really affect the cost of other important components of our designs like diamonds and the pre-fabricated parts such as clasps and chains. While we are already very mindful of our materials costs, we have really buttoned things up and have gotten even more intentional about how we use every last bit of metal in our Upstate NY studio. No piece left behind. No scrap too small. We’re challenging ourselves creatively to design smarter, waste less, and lean into the magic that happens when you work with what’s on hand.
All those tiny offcuts and leftover bits? They’re becoming One-of-a-Kind creations that you’ll see sprinkled throughout the year. Think our signature CMD styles, but reimagined through a resourceful (and surprisingly luxe) lens. Unexpected shapes. Limited metals. Approachable pricing. And that same OOAK energy we all love. In my experience, I find that during really difficult times is when we are forced to think outside of the box to stay afloat. Metal prices might surge but our creativity is at an all time high, that’s for certain.
We’re not saving this magic for Metal Madness anymore — you’ll want to keep an eye on our drops year-round. (Trust us.)
