Until Infinity Blog - New! Meet The Infinity Necklace

They say life is short – and I have definitely noticed that time moves at a wild pace. I think most of us can agree that with each passing year, time speeds up… moving faster and faster as we go.

In recent years, I’ve become much more conscious of trying my best to balance life, work, and everything in between. How can I approach each 24 hour spurt, savoring each hour I have as if it was the last delicious sip of ice cold water on the hottest of days? It can be tough, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth the effort.

Sure, my to-do list is always just as packed as the next person’s. There’s always many things that I should (and could) be doing. I prioritize and intentionally wake early most mornings to ensure I have enough time to do the things that help me feel like my cup is filled.

Some of the essentials on my to-do list include enjoying my coffee on the beach while Migs roams free, sitting at my meditation altar while the palo santo burns slowly, and cozying up on the couch while reflecting in my journal. I can get by without doing these things, but I’ve made it a priority to make the time for them. These days I do notice I have more fuel for everything else that follows.

With most things, there is a defined beginning and end, completely packed with pages in between each figurative cover. There are also things that are infinite and never go away – and Love and Light are the first two concepts that come to mind when I think of Infinity and its perfectly beautiful associated symbol.

The word “infinity” comes from the latin word “infinitas” which translates to “unboundedness,“ or having no limit or end. The sign itself resembles Celtic knots… made up of never ending loops with no beginning and no end. Both similarly represent the eternal cycle of life, death and rebirth.

This tiny symbol means so much to me on a very personal level, as well. When I lost my partner Kam in 2020, I got this symbol tattooed on my wrist in his honor, centered perfectly between two freckles (one to represent each of us). I intentionally placed it on the underside of the left side of my left wrist so it could remain somewhat inconspicuous. I love that I can turn my hand 180 degrees and have the perfect view of it. It’s small and delicate but a huge reminder that love is infinite. ∞

I hope this necklace makes you think of someone you love or helps you to reflect on the beauty of life. It’s intentionally dainty and is a sweet and subtle piece to rest on your decolletage. I’m a big earring gal, so I love how this necklace feels like just the right amount of sparkle when I wear it alongside my larger hoops.

I hope this petite symbol gives you all the feels…and means as much to you as it does to me.

Until Infinity,
Colleen's Signature

I wish more happily married women knew that redesigning their original wedding ring isn’t disloyal. Sometimes, it’s simply overdue! Cara and Cor have been married for well over twenty years. The kind of couple that instantly makes you smile. They are deeply connected, effortlessly funny, incredibly cool without [...]

The Colleen Pinky Stack started because people wouldn't stop asking me the same question: "What's that?" (pointing to my pinky set). Originally part of my own everyday stack, the design became such a customer favorite that we turned it into a permanent member of the CMD fam. And it's been one of our best [...]

Since the beginning of this year, clients from coast to coast have been mailing, carrying and carefully placing deeply personal jewelry into my hands. Old engagement rings. Broken chains. Inherited heirlooms. Pieces tied to marriages, grandparents, milestones, grief, growth and entirely different [...]
