Also Handmade With Love

The CMD studio is always buzzing away, and we’re constantly on the hunt for artisanal goodies to assist our work.  We relish other American manufacturers and love supporting them, because crafting a beautiful product doesn’t come easy (but is definitely worth it). Our current obsession? Artifact Bag Co.’s impeccably crafted aprons that CMD is proud to rock every day.

These artisanal aprons come straight to you from the hands of talented Nebraskans. The journey began with a sewing machine, in a basement, in 2010. Everything is handmade with love (certainly sounds familiar to the CMD family). These aprons are not only ultra-cool, but they’re durable, practical, machine washable—and Artifact Bag Co. stands behind every piece. Wishing you had one of your very own? Stop by the CMD studio on Valencia, where we have grey, black and denim varieties for sale.

Everyday Icons, Heirloom Energy

When I sit down at my workbench — usually with a fresh cup of coffee and a pencil sketch that’s already been lived in a little — I’m thinking about more than just metal and stone. I’m thinking about the way jewelry becomes a part of us. How a single piece can carry a memory, a milestone, or a sense of power that’s uniquely our own. I'm thrilled to [...]
