Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re not able to eat out at restaurants right now, but we can still support them! I’m personally trying to order safe takeout once a week to support my favorite local businesses, and the workers that keep them running and make them so special. It’s a nice treat for me to start [...]
I'm shopping small this holiday season and I hope you will, too! Let's put money back into our communities and keep Main Street alive and well. There are so many incredibly creative people running all types of businesses [...]
Bryr founder, Isobel, has become a close friend and somewhat unofficial colleague of CMD over time. As a San Franciscan (via England) who left a corporate design job in search of her own passion, she’s a gal after our own heart. We love soaking up the sun coast to coast, and though our New York (via New Jersey) run is sadly coming to a close, CMD can’t wait to get back to The Golden State. Fall in the Bay Area is all about life au soleil—BBQs, music festivals, spectacular sunsets and long walks on the beach, just to name a few.
The CMD studio is always buzzing away, and we’re constantly on the hunt for artisanal goodies to assist our work. We relish other American manufacturers and love supporting them, because crafting a beautiful product doesn’t come easy (but is definitely worth it).

Both spots in this sweet city encourage artistry and originality, and I have a few neighborhood gems that keep me going with a smile on my face.
Creating jewelry is my greatest passion, and I absolutely love doing it every day. The CMD studio is bursting with inspiration, productivity and laughter. But at the end of the workday I’m oftentimes thinking dreamily of my favorite creative outlet – cooking in my kitchen.
My love of craftsmanship spans far wider than design, especially in the form of food and drink. Artisan coffee, farm-to-table fare, distinctive wines, delicately prepared sushi; I revel in a well-made provisions. But number one on my decadent bite list is definitely oysters.
