From My Hands to Yours: Colleen's Pinky Stack

From My Hands to Yours — Introducing Colleen's Pinky Stack!

From My Hands to Yours: Colleen's Pinky Stack!

I never intended for my pinky ring stack to become such a conversation starter — but here we are! Over the last few months, I’ve received more comments about this stack than anything else I’ve worn in a while. I realize this set is a big showstopper, not unlike my Go Big or Go Home Stack, complete with massive Armor Ring. Honestly? I get it. My pinky stack is one of my newest obsessions taking my shortest digit to a higher level. It’s my daily armor, indeed. I could set someone straight wearing these pieces. (If I had to, that is. 😉)

Let me tell you the real story behind it.

For years, I’ve always worn some sort of pinky ring. My mom wore a silver signet on her pinky when I was growing up — and it clearly made a lasting impression. In the beginning, I wore just a couple of thin round bands (one gold-fill and one silver). Eventually, I started stacking a 2.5mm silver square ring with a 2mm gold one. I loved the edgy vibe of those on my pinky. As time passes and I get really attached to a piece, I slowly start upgrading my everyday jewelry to solid 14k gold, knowing I’ll be wearing it nonstop. Not all at once — it’s a slow, thoughtful process, especially given how expensive 14k gold is (it’s a splurge!). It’s something I do with intention — just like I try to approach everything else in my life.

This particular pinky stack came together in a moment of serendipity. We were working on a custom piece for LP Giobbi — a design that inspired the new Not Your Grandma's Ring from her namesake collection — and due to a rare oversight in the studio, the material wasn’t thick enough to set LP’s grandma’s diamonds. However… it just so happened to fit me rather perfectly (eek!). I added one of our standard rings in a smaller size on top to serve as an anchor ring to “lock it in,” and voila — the accidental masterpiece, Colleen’s Pinky Ring Set was born.

Colleen's Pinky Ring Set — Special Occasion Version

It’s bold, fierce, and stacked just right. So many of you have asked about it — including a woman named Pam from near Seattle, Washington. Pam booked a virtual appointment with me after spotting my stack in a video and reverse-searching it using Google Lens. (I mean, what!? I’m so honored!) She decided to order an identical stack in her size to wear on her right ring finger instead of her pinky. It was a meaningful splurge — her mother had recently passed and generously left her a bit of money. Pam knew this ring would become part of her everyday life, a piece she could look at and think of her beloved mom each time she glanced down at her hand.

As with all Special Occasion orders, I sent Pam a complimentary sizing kit before we began work on the final piece. I popped three sample rings in the mail to Washington — sizes 7.5, 8.0, and 8.5 — and it turns out she’s a perfect size 8.0. Her custom ring is now on the production bench in our new NY studio, nearly ready to be shipped out.

That interaction is exactly why I do this work. It’s not just about jewelry. It’s about connection, collaboration, and helping you express yourself through pieces that feel deeply personal.

So today, I’m thrilled to finally offer Colleen’s Pinky Stack — in not one, but two ways. Let's call them the Cadillac and Honda versions...

Colleen’s Pinky Ring Set (Special Occasion Version): Mostly solid 14k gold and sterling silver in a bold four-ring composition. ($3,598) — pictured below on left

Colleen’s Pinky Ring Set (Everyday Version): A mostly silver alternative with gold-fill in a just-as-bold, less expensive four-ring combo that still packs the same punch. (A bit more accessible at $468) — pictured below on right

Whether you wear your stack on your pinky or another finger, both versions offer bold style and balanced composition. Just be prepared to receive loads of compliments.

If you’ve been dreaming about a stack of your own — whether in celebration of a milestone, birthday, anniversary, or just because — let’s chat! You can book a one-on-one appointment with me (virtually or in person) to build your Dream Stack or to design custom or Special Occasion jewelry together. I've had the honor of working with clients from all over the country — and beyond. These personalized sessions are truly some of my favorite moments in the studio. Just this past month, I’ve virtually “traveled” to Montana, Washington, and Arizona. I’ve also had the joy of welcoming clients in person — including one who made a four-hour drive from Connecticut to visit me in Asbury Park, and another who flew in from Arkansas to create her very first CMD stack. It’s pure magic to connect with so many incredible people from across the map!

Not sure of your ring size? We’ve got adjustable ring sizers and rentable at-home sizing kits (required for 14k gold orders) to make sure everything fits just right.

Let’s create something together that feels like you!

Can’t wait to meet you,

Colleen
