Recently, I was approached by a client who wanted to create something truly unique in memory of her beloved dog. After years of faithful companionship, her yellow lab, Bert, had sadly passed away. The client decided to have her dog's ashes transformed into a diamond—a brilliant and enduring testament to a love that knew no bounds.
Turning ashes into a diamond is a process that involves compressing carbon into a gemstone, a method that beautifully encapsulates the essence of a loved one. The result is a sparkling gem that captures both light and memories. At the end of the day, a diamond is never just a stone. It more often than not symbolizes so much more than that... For this particular client, her diamond is a tangible piece of her cherished companion, forever close to her heart. Our client used a fantastic and reputable company out of Texas called Eterneva to transform the ashes into a yellow diamond. The results speak for themselves—take a look.
Once her diamond was ready, it was our turn to step in and create a setting worthy of such a precious gem. She chose a classic 14k white gold ring with a bezel setting, not unlike the Leo Solitaire Ring. This timeless look enhanced the diamond's brilliance and could serve as a versatile piece of jewelry that could be worn daily and last a lifetime.
Our production room was buzzing as we meticulously crafted the ring. Every detail, from the band’s delicate curve to the diamond’s secure setting, was designed to ensure that the final piece was not just a ring but a vessel of cherished memories.
