Getting your ring size right isn't always as simple as knowing a number. The shape and width of a ring, how many bands you're stacking, your knuckles and even the time of day can all change the way a ring fits and feels.
That's especially true at CMD, where you'll find everything from skinny round bands to wide stacks and our signature square rings. After more than two decades of making rings by hand, we've learned a lot about how different shapes fit. Consider this your home for everything we've learned, plus the tools to help you find the size that feels right for you.
Start with your usual ring size. CMD's square rings tend to fit more true to size and can feel slightly roomier than traditional round bands.
Round rings can feel more snug, especially as bands get wider or you add more rings to a stack. Going ½ size up is often a good starting point.

These are guidelines, not hard rules. Finger shape, knuckle width, stacking preferences and how you like your rings to feel all play a role. When in doubt, we always recommend using one of our at-home sizing tools.
A ring that fits perfectly as a narrow band may feel tighter as a wider band or stack. The same goes for shape. Square rings sit differently on the finger than round rings, and combining multiple bands can change how the entire stack fits and feels.
Your fingers can also fluctuate in size throughout the day with temperature, activity, hydration and more. That's why we look at more than just the number on a ring sizer. Width, shape, how you plan to wear your rings and how you like them to feel all matter when finding the right fit.

Your personalized Ring Sizing Kit lets you try neighboring sizes at home, wear-test them, and see which one feels best before moving forward.
For Custom & Reconstruction and Special Occasion rings, a personalized Ring Sizing Kit is included as a complimentary part of the process when needed. Because we're working with precious materials and pieces made specifically for you, we want to feel confident in your fit before production begins.
Outside of these projects, you can rent a Ring Sizing Kit for $150. Return it within 3 business days using the prepaid label, and the full $150 is issued as CMD store credit toward your ring purchase.
