One of the most important elements of a ring — beyond the design, the metal, or even the stones — is getting the size right.
A ring that fits properly becomes part of your daily life. It’s the one that you reach for, again and again, and becomes the purest extension of you.
Because CMD rings often feature nontraditional shapes — rounded squares, rigid squares, and sculptural bands — sizing can feel a little different than what you may be used to with standard circular rings. That’s why we take sizing very seriously around here.
For all Custom Projects and Special Occasion pieces (solid 14k gold or diamond-adorned), confirming your exact ring size is a required first step before we move into production. Before any precious metal is touched, we always send a personalized Ring Sizing Kit and pause there until we’re confident the fit is just right.
When assembling a kit, I do my best to mimic the overall width of the ring we’re designing — whether that’s a single band or an entire stack set — because width significantly impacts how a ring fits and feels on the finger. The goal is simple: your ring should fit like it was truly made for you (because it is).
If you’re considering a made-to-order ring from our Everyday line and aren’t completely confident in your size, you’re also welcome to rent a Ring Sizing Kit ahead of time. This is especially helpful for customized pieces (ie. hand-stamped pieces like the Reppin’ Ring Set), where achieving the right fit from the start is essential.
Each kit includes three sizes — e.g., if you request a size 7.0, we’ll send 6.5, 7.0, and 7.5 — so you can test the fit at home and pinpoint what feels best. Our kits are available in both our round and signature square ring or mixed shapes. I recommend trying the rings on at different times of the day as our fingers can fluctuate depending on our physical activity and even our water and food intake. Once you’re confident in your size choice, you simply return the kit within three business days using the pre-paid return label, and your deposit is applied back to your account as store credit.
Taking this extra step helps us avoid unnecessary resizing, added production time, and wasted material down the line. It also ensures that when your ring arrives, it feels comfortable, secure, and exactly as it should from the very first wear.
This process becomes even more important when designing Custom and Special Occasion pieces — the kinds of rings that mark major moments, carry meaning, and are intended to last a lifetime.
With my return to Asbury Park, I’m opening up a limited number of in-person and virtual appointments for Custom Projects and Special Occasion pieces.
