Creating jewelry is my greatest passion, and I absolutely love doing it every day. The CMD studio is bursting with inspiration, productivity and laughter. But at the end of the workday I’m oftentimes thinking dreamily of my favorite creative outlet – cooking in my kitchen.
Even though I work with my hands all day, the mere thought of tying on my apron and hitting the kitchen makes me feel so incredibly relaxed. It’s a chance for me to zone out, restore my mind and, of course, whip up something healthful and delicious. I love taking my time, trying new concoctions and really creating an artisan experience for myself and my loved ones.
San Francisco provides the best produce and general food options (gorgeous produce! fine wine!) around. No matter what the recipe calls for, I can always find a perfectly ripe tomato, a deliciously tart lemon or fragrant, flavorful sage at my local produce markets. A few of my favorite haunts include Noriega Produce on Noriega and 46th Street, and Other Avenues on Judah and 45th Street.
Do you enjoy cooking during your downtime? What are some of your favorite creative outlets? I’d love to hear in the comments below!
