Okay, But What Does 10k Actually LOOK Like Next to 14k?

Okay, now that I've finally told you we're offering 10k solid gold on select CMD designs, there's one thing I know some of you are wondering: But can I SEE the difference?

The short answer is yes, but it's more subtle than you might expect.

Because 14k contains more pure gold, it has that slightly richer, warmer yellow tone I've always loved. 10k has a little less pure gold and more alloy metal, so its color can read a touch lighter.

But when we first started testing 10k, I was genuinely surprised by how beautiful it looked. It still felt like gold, solid through and through and built to last, with the weight and permanence of solid precious metal. What mattered most to me was that our designs still looked like CMD.

WHICH ONE WOULD I CHOOSE?

That depends on the piece, your budget and what you love. If you want that richer gold color and higher gold content, go 14k. If getting into solid gold at a more approachable price matters more to you, I think 10k is a pretty damn exciting option.

And yes, the Deep End Ring is making me squeal a little. It's my love letter to the ocean.
