I just abso-positively adore this little farmer gal, @hilaryatthecircus. Okay, fine... Hilary Williams is one of my besties but who's countin'. 😄
Hilary and I met waiting tables back in 2005 just after I came back from a trip around the world. We instantly bonded on our love of crafting and making things. In fact, one of both mine and HIlary's first-ever outdoor shows took place outside of Vesuvio in North Beach - ring a bell for any of the SF locals out there? We used to throw our annual Holiday Party (usually at our homes), slinging art and jewelry and feeding our friends and customers.... raise your hand if you've attended one of our epic parties! 🙋🏽
After all these years, I'm so grateful that we've remained the closest of friends. Not only is Hilly an exceptional artist but she has the most perfect little farm in Santa Rosa in Sonoma County, Lettuce Laugh Farms. Hil makes jams, pickles, cheeses, breads, salsa, sausages, chutneys and spreads (soaps and vinegars, too!). #lettucelaughfarms is home to 25 chickens, 4 ducks, 6 goats, 3 cows, 2 pigs, 4 cats, 1 dog, 3 humans, 2 turtle doves.... and a partridge in a pear tree.
