Meet Hand Project Models, Mat & Kitty

Introducing Kitty Minervini and Mat Hale… two Asbury locals who I can safely say were my first official friends here in town. I love when the Universe brings people together. This is certainly a story of just that.

I met these two at Dwell on Design back in 2013 and randomly ran into them on the beach in Asbury. Kitty recognized me from Instagram and had already purchased a handful of pieces from Dwell on Design. After chatting a bit, I soon realized that they lived in the same neighborhood that I was eyeing to put down roots in. A year later, we're just a quick walk up the block from each other - true “neighbs."

These two are the bees knees - they’re funny AF and when I’m with them, I feel like we’ve been friends for ages. To boot, their furbaby Penny and my own Migs are two peas in a pod.

Since I moved to Asbury, Kitty (AKA the mayor) and Mat have introduced me to so many new friends and interesting people around this sweet little town. They got hitched back in 2020 right before the pandemic, but have been together since they met in LA many moons ago. They got married on the anniversary of when they met on January 3 of 2009. Design aficionados and food lovers, there’s never a shortage of things to chat about when I’m with them.

Mat and Kitty moved to Asbury in 2017 and now have the most beautiful home and a gorgeous yard with flourishing veggie beds and a killer outdoor movie screen. I’m so grateful for our friendship and excited for all the adventures yet to come. Love you, Kit, Mat and Pen… to the moon and beyond. 🌙
